Suggested Requirements for Medical Transcription and EMR Vendors
The Health Story Project bridges the gap between dictation/transcription and electronic health records by developing technical implementation guides for structured narrative documents and bringing them to ballot through HL7. Four guides for various clinical notes have been published and are available to industry vendors today, and additional guides are in development.
Health Story offers technical requirements to assist providers that are interested in the Health Story pathway in working with their current vendors or in talking with prospective vendors during selection.
