Health Story Approach: Requirements for Clinical Documentation and EMR Vendors
The Health Story Project bridges the gap between clinical documents and electronic health records by supporting the development and adoption of national standards for electronic structured documents. Eight technical guides for common clinical documents have been published through the HL7 International data standards organization and are available for use today individually or as templates within the Consolidated CDA package.
Suggested technical requirements are provided here to assist healthcare providers in implementing the Health Story approach. Health Story encourages referencing this requirements document with current and prospective with prospective vendors.
