Profile: Lantana Consulting Group
Lantana Consulting Group provides consulting and development services in support of standards-based healthcare information exchange. Our mission is to make health information available across the spectrum of care, supporting safe, effective, affordable healthcare with comprehensive electronic records that also sustain public health, quality reporting and research.
We helped found the Health Story Project because we want to ensure that in the move to electronic records, the full “health story” is not left behind. Today, a record may be either fully encoded or complete - it cannot be both. We believe that Health Story supports the right strategy for incremental change, an evolution to interoperable electronic health records.
We support vendors and providers, consulting on development of an architecture and infrastructure that supports results-driven change. Our clients have a range of reasons for moving to interoperable records and for use of the Health Story specifications - continuity of care, extracting information from the electronic health record for public health and quality reporting.
We’re really pleased to support Health Story. The project has the potential to be a game-changer when it comes to EHR adoption and meaningful use.
